About Vista Santa Barbara

Vista Santa Barbara is one of the newest gated communities in the Pacific Highlands Ranch region of San Diego, California. This is the first neighborhood to offer eco friendly features in its floor plans.

The subdivision of Santa Barbara was built between 2002 and 2005 by Pardee Homes. There are 85 two story homes with three floor plans offering four to five bedrooms and living space that ranges from 3,377 to 4,000 square feet. Lots in this neighborhood tend to be on the larger side and most homes have a three car garage.

Several school districts serve this neighborhood with highly ranked facilities like Solana Highlands Elementary School, Carmel Valley Middle School, and Torrey Pines High School. There are hundreds of private institutions like the Calvary Christian Academy, Escondido Adventists Academy, the Montessori American School, and Halstrom Academy. Public universities include the University of California (UCSD) and San Diego State University (SDSU) as well as the San Diego Community College District.

There are many parks and trails throughout this region. Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is popular with hikers because of its 2,000 acres of wilderness and protected land. To the south you’ll find the Palacio del Mar Golf Course and the Grand Golf Course which features a Tom Fazio designed course, lodging, and a gourmet restaurant in a Mediterranean-style resort. And close to the beach is the Torrey Pines Golf Course.

San Diego is famous for its beautiful beaches, museums, and its incredible Zoo. It is California’s second largest city and the nation’s eighth. Its economy relies on tourism, manufacturing, international trade, and military defense related activities.
